- Wyeth's major depressive disorder treatment Pristiq now available in U.S. pharmacies Wyeth Pharmaceuticals announced that PRISTIQ(TM), a new serotonin-norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor approved to treat adult patients with major depressive disorder, is now available in U.S. retail pharmacies nationwide. The recommended dose of PRISTIQ is 50 milligrams (mg) once daily.

- FDA approves AstraZeneca’s Seroquel for maintenance treatment in bipolar disorder AstraZeneca announced that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has approved SEROQUEL(R) (quetiapine fumarate) for the maintenance treatment of patients with bipolar I disorder, as adjunct to lithium or divalproex.
